Description

Mansanobu prints about in the wit and Edo virtue that typified the best in 18th century popular art. He was often his own publishers and thus exercised more control over the final printed results of his designs than most Ukiyo-e. Manasobu was known to have experimented with diverse methods in Ukiyo-e, especially lacquer prints and Western concepts of perspective.
