Japanese Woodblock Prints

Japanese Woodblock Prints

The core of the Japanese woodblock collection began under the direction of the Head of the Art Department, Kermit Ewing, in 1946. Japanese prints were also collected by the department after Ewing's death in 1976, were purchased from the Charles I and Blanche Barber Fine Arts Fund, and works were also donated by Hugh W. Sanford Jr.
