Description
A Genji diptych series printed in high quality and designed over several years. The first prints date from 1857, the most prints were produced in 1858, some in 1859 and four prints from 1861.
A standard Genji series includes 54 prints mostly accompanied by a title or an index page. This series includes only 39 prints, one "opening" print and 38 diptychs.
